Psychology Field Experience .pdf

As part of the psychology program at URI, I was required to complete an internship.  I created and lead a music therapy workshop using drums.  It was an ideal way to marry my love of music with my study in psychology.  I feel the experience is a testament to my planning, follow-through, and leadership abilities as well as my knowledge of psychology and music.  In addition to documenting the field-work, this paper exemplifies my writing and research skills

Best Work (Music)
Choral
Handbook
.pdf

This Choral Methods class assignment required creating a mock choral music program and communicating my vision in a handbook.  Even if I never end up with a chorus, this useful project is something that could revised for band or general music.  The task allowed me to utilized my attention to detail and organization skills, my training in music and pedagogy, and my effective writing.  While I think the content is solid, what I like most about this work is the tone I was able convey.  The content is serious, but there is a bit of humor to make the program sound inviting and fun.  It is a tone that I hope I can maintain in my teaching.
